The plate shear is used on the uncoiling and leveling line of plates and it is a high-speed plate shear designed to match the fast speed and shearing requirements of the production line. The thick plate lines most have hydraulic high-speed shears and the thin plate line most have electric and pneumatic plate shears.

Working Principle

After shearing, the plate shear shall guarantee the straightness and parallelism requirements of the shearing face of the sheared material, and reduce plate twisting as far as possible, so as to get workpieces of high quality. The upper blade of the plate shear is fixed on the blade carrier, and the lower blade is fixed on the worktable. On the worktable, there is installed carrier roller, so that the plate material is not scratched when sliding thereon. The backgauge is used for plate positioning, and the position is controlled by the motor. The material-pressing cylinder is used to compress the plate, so as to prevent plate from moving during shearing.

Announcements:

1. Electric plate shear: start the plate shear in empty running for several cycles and ensure to try shearing plates of different thicknesses in normal conditions, from thin to thick.

2. When shearing, different blade gaps must be correctly regulated for different plate thicknesses, otherwise, the blade durability will be affected.

3. Hydraulic plate shear: open the switch of the pressure gauge during the shearing process and observe the pressure value of oil line, and the pressure shall be less than 10Mpa when shearing plate of 2mm. It is prohibited to increase the pressure for shearing plate face exceeding the specified and thus damage the machine.

4. The sound is balanced when operating, and if the shear has noise, the machine shall be stopped for inspection.

5. When the plate shear is running, the increased temperature of oil tank shall be less than 60oC, and when the increased temperature exceeds 60oC, the machine shall be stopped for rest.
